Terpaksa balik kampung

Aku ni...tak suka balik kampung. Hometown aku pun aku tak suka, ni plak hometown hubby.
Sejak kahwin memang tak suka balik kampung dia...sometimes wonder macam mana dia boleh duduk kampung masa kecik-kecik dulu...dah kampung kelahiran, nak wat camner, hidup jelah kan?
Dah lah hari ahad ni si Adam ada periksa akhir tahun...kalau balik kg, dia asyik main jer, tak nak lah buat ulangkaji...
Bila balik kg, banyak household chores tergendala...pastu bila balik mai...berlambak kerja surirumah kena buat. Surirumah fahamla kot, kalau wanita kerjaya tak berapa faham sangat masalah surirumah yang remeh ni.
Kat kg....semua masuk kelambu awal...untuk aku yang selalu tidur pukul satu nie...terasa amatlah buang masa tidur awal-awal ni...nak stay up takut...maklumlah kampung macam-macam bunyi ada. Walaupun tak percaya karut but i pernah 'diganggu' kat sana masa mula-mula kawin. Lantak kaulah hantu, kalau bran mai....aku nak tanya banyak soalan pasal 'death'...tak dak lah gangguan lepas dapat anak.
Kat kg boring....takde apa leh buat, internet tahap G ajer...ikut angin, kengkadang H+...tetiba jadi E...hmmm
Kat kampung...tak berapa suka tandas...tandas kampung fahamlah kan. Malas nak citer.
Kat kampung kena jaga anak betul-betul sebab pintu terpelahang luas takde grill pastu ada perigilah...sungai lah....ulaq lah...asyik jerit jer panggil anak-anak yang suka berlari kat luar tu...kalau kat rumah ni....tak perlu tengok pun. Persekitaran selamat.
Next week balik lagi...sebab Raya Haji lak...bosannya! Mak aku takde kat hometown so beraya kat kampung hubby lagi...
Orang lain punyalah excited balik kampung tapi aku...malas nak packing dan unpacking balik nanti.
Takpelah...at least ada kampung halaman untuk anak-anak. Jadi apa-apa emergency boleh lari kampung kan????

  1. Salam Adelina,

Your blog tittle inspired me...among wanita berkerjaya yang berkeinginan untuk menjadi SAHM.

Anyway, I beg to differ on your statement wanita berkerjaya tak faham masalah surirumah tu. Wanita berkerjaya still hold the responsibility of the household chores. Imagine wanita yang berkerjaya tapi takde maid...Fuhhh!!! Penat tau! And we do have our own set of problems btw; even those lucky ones who can employ maids. Tambah pening nak employ maid. Bukannya semua indah2 belaka:)

You are right on kampung halaman. I budak kampung. I don't like my own parents' house last time because of the same issues you highlighted but things improve especially the toilets.

And the good thing about having a kampung is you have a place to go whenever you need to unwind from the hectic city life. Work is forgotten 100%!

Anyways, just to share some thought here. Thank!

  2. Hubby i kata i ni eksyen...walaupun begitu dia menerima i seadanya. Walaupun ek tapi baik hati ha....
Betui...memang wanita berkerjaya sebenarnya tak sama dgn ouswipe. Dulu masa kerja dulu pun ingat sama jer. Selalu depa kata ouswipe ni tadak stress dan syiok jer lepak. Nak tau lanjut banyak website duk discuss pasal ni. Apa2pun, keduanya sama aja bergelar ibu dan buat yg terbaik untuk anak...ouswipe ni selalu dipandang hina...kalau dulu i malu bergelar ouswipe tapi lepas 5 tahun...dah lali plak. Mokteh...kalau nk join club cuba try amik cuti tanpa gaji tgk buleh tak. Kalau rasa enjoy, jomlah. Make sure hutang dah settle.
Balik kg sebab teman mil...adik ipar ada kursus my mil takut duk sorang. Kami tak leh bawak dia mai rumah sebab ada anak o.k.u kat kg nie (abg ipaq i lah tue). Dia ni oku jenis jerit2 so tak sesuai bawak duk taman....alkisahnya.

  3. Adelina,

Been there, done that. Boleh survive 2 bulan je. That's why, for now, I decided to become a career woman. I stressed bila don't have own money and have to depend on hubby's allowance. I missed gossiping with fellow lady colleagues at work; missed outside lunch and window shopping. Plus I don't have any creative/business talent to fill my free time; in fact bila jaga anak kecik, memang takde masa lapang pun! Penat ade la. Somehow because of all this, I opt to work. Lagipun I dari family susah. I need to work to support my parents (now both deceased).

I've read some info about becoming full-time housewife. It was never easy; similarly with career/working housewife. I have maid but I can't rely everything on her, so I still do some of the chores. Dah la I jenis cerewet. But I learnt to tolerate because as a working housewife, I need a very good support system.

With 2 growing kids, I feel bad for not having enough time to spent with them. But then again, to become a working housewife is my choice, thus, no complaint! I try to manage and balance as much as I can.

But still my ultimate dream is to become a full-time housewife, taking care and hold full responsibility for my family, insyaAllah. I will be maidless in few weeks time since my maid retiring. Tengah pening kepala how to handle laundry, housekeeping and many2 household chores with my 2 hands when I'm also working 7am-7pm, 5 times a week, in a workplace which is 40km from home and the needs to embrace the KL traffic jam.

Sigh...but then again, it's my choice. And I'm grateful. Alhamdulillah.

Do take care there Adelina. Nice name btw:)

  4. A good mom is a happy mom...always bear that in mind. Kalau duduk rumah jaga anak pun kalau marah-marah tak tentu hala tak bagus juga (i used to be like this, sebab tu agaknya anak lambar boleh bercakap).
If you are happy working even though your time with children is limited but, it is a quality time (spending together with your children). Just be happy...
As a women we got to have our own feet we cannot depend solely on our partner right?
Apa-apa pun, just be happy...we function the best when we are happy :)

betul gak kan...kecik hati. maaflah kalau adik ipaq kesayangan terbaca. tapi i cuma nak expreskan opinion saja and it is true. i dah bagi suggestion kat hubby suh buat macam-macam tapi dia buat tak tau saja...i ni kalau kampung i dah lama dah up grade tapi i ni status menantu jer pun.
