Little Maths - I didn't know that!

Ohhh...you know actually we can set up whether we want the program to show icon set (butterfly, toys, mickey...etc) or only showing dots, or any other shapes!!!
I just found out about that during re-installation of the software into my new computer just now.
I am gonna wait for Adelina to wake up (she's napping) and try day-64 again...

As promised for mommies who wonder about Little maths, I have video-ed the show, enjoy!

Brillkids Week 15 & 16

The session is getting longer....ouch! Sometimes when she got distracted or seemed bored I just stopped the session and continue later. She's already two and her focus getting shorter. So far still doing good.

Little Maths course, I decided to stop at day 64 because Adelina repels the session. I feel like forcing her into the session. Little Maths too, the session is longer due to learning numbers and maths. I became stressed because she could not focus and I don't think she is learning anything because she is more interested in the object instead of the numbers...So, I quit at day 64. Hope to give another try if we decided to have another baby....(BABY? thinking about it really make me exhausted. Ha Ha)

Not to worry, even though we quit the daily course, we can manually learn maths in the 'numbers' and 'maths' section in the program. I choose red dots starting from 1-10 and 10 - 0. It's just red dots. No icons. Yesterday, she was amazed with the dots and counting together... :))
I will insert videos in the next entry about red dots, maths lesson using BK Little Maths ok?

Even though Adelina my two year old toddler hates the daily math course, my 5 year old boy seems okay with the product. Maybe because his focus skill is getting longer and better...he's learning the 'Introducing Numerals' and 'Math' using the program.

How Little Maths look like?

This  video that I made has delay about 1 second of the speech and the object shown. Using computer the object and speech are accurate.

School Holiday

Here in Malaysia is 2 weeks school break...
I luv it coz don't have to rush Adam to school... :) can be more relax in the morning...
So, this school break, I wanna focus on Adam's writing skills, how to hold pencil properly, arabic alphabets, numbers and math (+ only), phonics english and malay, simple arabic words...I also bought some tools for him so that he won't get bored at home all day.
The activities only during morning after breakfast...like at kindy. Afternoon, I will be busy with my shop activities...I just let them play with tablet, drawing, watch cartoons...relax, play, fight with each other ha ha.

I bought Origami book, a new cut & paste book and opposites flash card.

Yesterday's result. He's already knows alif to dal... I will reduce the tracing activity, I want him to remember the alphabets and print it down...not tracing it.

Brillkids Little Reader Week 10

Quick update about things that have been learnt.
Pattern Phonic: ee, it

Little maths, we are at day43, counting up to 50, and randomly reducing the numbers and adding the numbers.

Whenever I have time, I will do the old fashion way: flashcard and asked her to count. She can count up to 10 correctly.

She still enjoying the moment. Even though I am busy with shop and chores, still manage to do little reader and little maths every morning and evening. Less than 5 minutes each session. Thinking about video recording but have nobody to help me capturing the precious moment. :))

We read the books given together...bot of them know that reading is from left to right...

Remember, don't focus on result, just enjoy the moment...:)

Setakat ni malay phonic baru buku satu yang di'convert' ke versi brillkids.
Susah nak tulis details brillkids ni sebab perkataan harian berubah bertambah dan berkurang...tetapi sama. Taktau macam mana programmer susun. I tekan play jer...
Phonic english untuk minggu ni---> words ending with 'ad', 'an' dan 'ap'
ad----> bad, clad, dad, fad, glad, had, lad, mad, pad, sad, tad
an----> ban, can, fan, man, pan, plan, ran, scan, tan, van

tu jelah untuk week 6.

 Di bawah ni pula...Adam punya praktis buat sequence. Suruh dia cerita apa terjadi selepas itu. I cetak from this link...abc teach. Free jer cuma gambar orang kayu. Takpelah janji buleh praktis...

Ada banyak lagi nak buat...Adam ni kena tunggu mood juga. Nanti kalau paksa dia stress pula kan...Memang kena warnakan sekali dengan dia supaya dia rasa dapat perhatian.

Brillkids update, week 4 day 16

I nak sangat update Brillkids...

Sekarang dah week 5, tapi time picture taken is week 4.

So far Adelina loves the Brillkids program. She's repeating the words and pointing to her body when words are pronounce by the program. 

For Little Maths dia tak focus. While babies will be amazed with the dots and pictures, toddler like her are more interested in the object...example: the program are showing 10 rubber duckies...she is more interested to say ducks instead of the numbers...

For week 1, Little reader.. program akan dibahagi kepada 3 bahagian: Action words, Parts or the body dan Common Animals. 

Contohnya Action words: clap, wave, kick, point, laugh, eat

Parts of the body: hair, eye, nose, ear, mouth, chin

Common animals: dog, cat, horse, pig, bird, duck

Yang menarik ialah, gambar akan berubah, suara orang yang pronounce pun berbeza...ada video bergerak so babies/ todd suka dan tak bosan.

Perkataan itu akan diulang dan ditambah setiap hari, hari demi hari...

By day 10, segment Common Animals ditukar kepada Kids Things dan part of the Body ditukar kepada Colors. 

Segment akan ditukar-tukar tetapi kekal 3 segment sampai week 5.

Lepas week 5, baru start pattern phonics...words ending with 'at'...cat, vat...chat...so on

Colors pula ditukar kepada Things we wear.

Adam start join this program at week 5. Dia pun seronok...:)))))

I hope I can take video budak-budak ni sebut perkataan tu. Sebab tu hantar tablet servis. I ni pemalas nak cucuk USB, pastu transfer...edit video/gambaq...no time for that. Hopefully lepas ni buleh buh gambar video pulak...

Yang best guna Brillkids ni...kita buleh tambah program kita sendiri. Ingat dak dulu I beli satu set buku Bacalah Anakku yang fail tu? Well, I dah buat program tu dalam sistem Brillkids. Buku 1 baru jer siap. Tengok Adam suka tak, kalau dia suka baru I proceed with the next book.

Insyallah akan terus update Brillkids. Mana tahu, kalau ikut iklannya...next year dah buleh baca buku...by age 3 years old...wow!!!

Brillkids untuk Adelina

Alhamdulillah...tercapai juga cita-cita nak beli Brillkids. Dah lama tunda...sebab kena bayar cash. Kalau nak bayar credit card, kena order kat Hong Kong...

Haritu call agen Brillkids kat KL tanya dia kenapa harga kalau beli online lagi murah? Dia kata sebab kalau jadi apa-apa nanti susah nak dapat support. Paling dekat Hong Kong. Shipping lak berbulan baru sampai... Nanti kot cd patah ke rosak ke depa sini tak bertanggung jawab...yolah.

Mahal 2 ratus tu...Malas nak fikir, bayaq jelah. Aku ambik pekej Brillkids early reader and maths...RM1350.00 termasuk shipping. Okay la, 2 hari dah sampai. Tapi tak install lagi kat komputer ni. Sebab kena clear rem. Semua gambar lama, video dah buang. Insyallah lepas balik kampung nanti install. Nak baca pamplet dulula.

Dulu dah buat trial 9 days...Adik memang suka. Adam? tak suka. Sebab tu beli Grolier kat Adam.
Beli benda ni, akan dapat flap card tuk belajar baca, buku 25 keping---flip flap books which is very good. Lesson plan tuk 2 semester. Ada lagi flap tuk letak gambar family...customize la.

Brillkids ni kan, senang tau, cuma 5-10 mins setiap hari. Ikut jer program dia. Ada 365 hari. Tak payah pening-pening cari bahan macam tuk Adam tu kan. Just tekan enter/click mouse jer. Yang penting, kita bersama-sama buat dengan anak kita. Kira Q time gak tu. Kalau dia nak tengok lagi, cuma repeat the day punya program. Kalau sibuk, buleh selang...takde masalah. Pastu, ada bahan tambahan buleh download dari website, ada forum untuk suport...banyak gak la. Kira buleh overwhelming la...take it slow.
We'll see. If she can read next year...I will buy Mandarin package lak...
