Been bz with life and balancing work-life effectiveness.
Tomorrow is 1st Ramadan = public holiday in Kedah, so i have some time to blog tonight and...
I am becoming bored with all these parts....and badly wanting to post about something else...huarghh!!!
So...where were we?
Sewing sleeves...After you cut the sleeves from the pattern given, just stitch a straight line either using machine or hand....i used my machine.
|The sleeves and bias tape i cut from left over cloth.|
Then, pull the thread to make ruffles until measuring the same length as your bias tape.
Then, pin the bias tape to your sleeve...go sew! You must know how to sew bias tape. If not, just refer youtube.
This is how it's look when it's done. This is the 'look' from the outside.
Do the same thing to the other opposite side of the sleeve to create a puff sleeve. Just pull the thread.
The 'look' from inside.
The 'look' from outside. Outside must look good.
Then place your sleeve to the sleeve part at the dress. Pin it together. Make sure it's on the right side. If not you will end up crying tearing everything off!
Testing whether it's on the right part together...yes it is. If not, the outside sleeve will be on the inside dress or inside sleeve will be on the outside dress. Go sew!
Done...almost done. Then, just sew your finishing touch at the neck area and skirt area. If you want to add some embellishment like ribbon/button/applique...you may do so. Remember, less is more.
I just crocheted a rose as my embellishment...
